Carla Laemmle is the last living link to the Golden Age of Universal Pictures in Hollywood. At 103 years young this lady was the Prima Ballerina in Universal's 1925 silent classic The Phantom Of The Opera (with Lon Chaney) and spoke the first words in the worlds first Talkie Horror movie the Universal 1931 classic horror Dracula (with Bela Lugosi). Her uncle Carl Laemmle founded Universal Pictures and invited the then Chicago based brother Joseph, Wife Carrie and Niece Carla to come live on the Universal City in Hollywood.
Now you too can help, there is a fund being gathered with the help of Carla's niece to buy a Hollywood Star on the walk of fame ($35,000 USD). If any person deserved one, it would be this lady. Harry Potter fans world wide please take note, "The Making Of Harry Potter" Warner Bros Studio Tour which is situated in Leavesden studios in north London UK is one of the best exhibits / attractions we at The Monster Company have encountered! This is fantastic and highly recommended (magical museum)! It adds to the Harry Potter films and does not take anything away from the magic that is The Harry Potter franchise which has spanned 7 (seven) wonderful books and 8 (eight) amazing feature movies. We spent four hours in the exhibition and were still unable to take everything in, we could quite happily go back and still see different exhibits and learn more about The Making Of Harry Potter. The gift shop is brilliant with great quality Harry Potter related merchandise and sweets! The Monster Company also has a brilliant selection of Screen Used Harry Potter movie props for sale.

The Monster Company wrapped shooting on the web series Blood and Bone China on Sunday 5th June and continue to help behind the scenes and with the loaning of props. We have helped our friend Chris Stone (director of The Rebel, Turpin, Anno Domini etc) and Steph Cooper with the filming of the new Vampire Web Drama "Blood and Bone China" also starring Rachel Shenton, Anthony Miles, John Woodward, Ryan Callaghan and with opening title music by Birmingham based band Birthrite. These are Vampire web mini episodes situated in Victorian Britain in Stoke On Trent (the then centre of the economic world). Pulling on local myth and legend, Blood and Bone China Episodes 1 -12 are all available to view on You Tube. Episode 1 of the epic Victorian Vampire Web Drama has been re shot with extra scenes inserted, seductive, more vampiric and even more mysterious!
The Monster Company has helped our friends Chris Stone and Steph Cooper on this amazing production of Blood and Bone China. We have provided for Blood and Bone China help with make up, Special Effects, blood, costumes and props / weapons, manakins, (even hand made some prop items) and previously used film props from other Hollywood movie productions. We have advocated on many levels idea's for production and have helped with assisting the production on set (behind the camera), idea's at editing stage, as well as appearing as an extra (in front of the camera) in the Vampire drama.
Look at for the new limited edition Blood and Bone China cast signed DVD out now! Only 100 signed copies will be available for £19.99 plus postage and packaging. The London show brought to you by the guys at Showmasters was a good one! Aliens, super heroes, space travellers, vampires, monsters, colonial marines, sci fi heroes and villains and Mike Tyson (famous for the film The Hangover)? This was a great event, in attendance were the current Doctor Who - Matt Smith, the brilliant Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger), Dean Cain (Superman from The Adventures Of Superman), Mark Rolston (Drake from Aliens), Jonathan Frakes (William Riker from Star Trek The Next Generation), Michael Carter (Gerald Bringsley from An American Werewolf In London), Electra and Elise Avellan (Crazy Baby Sitter Twins, Machete 2), Bradley Gregg (Nightmare On Elm Street Part 3 The Dream Warriors, Stand By Me, Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, Fire In The Sky), Game Of Thrones guests, Red Dwarf Reunion, and a Blake Seven reunion. This is the biggest Hellraiser reunion ever to take place, and will never be repeated again at Monster Mania, Cherry Hill, USA. Yes Horror fans, this was the biggest Horror convention which took place August 17th - 19th 2012 and the guests that attended were, Mr Doug Bradley (Pinhead Lead Cenobite, Lylesberg Nightbreed), Mr Simon Bamford (Butterball Cenobite, Ohnaka Nightbreed), Mr Nicholas Vince (Chatterer Cenobite, Kinski Nightbreed), Miss Barbie Wilde (Female Cenobite Hellbound), along with the wonderful Ashley Laurence (Kirsty Cotton), the amazing Clare Higgins (Julia Cotton). Carl weathers (Predator and Rocky movies), Norman Reedus (Boon Dock Saints and The Walking Dead), Nancy Allen (Robocop, Carrie, Poltergeist 3, Dressed To Kill), Jeffrey DeMunn (Green Mile, The Walking Dead, Shawshank Redemption), Stephen Yeun (The Walking Dead), Lauren Cohan (The Walking Dead), Tom Savini (Dusk Til Dawn, Machete and Machete 2, Django Unchained). What an immense gig, so much fun in just three days! Highly recommended. Sadly Mr Clive Barker has had to withdraw from the convention due to prior illness and a slower than anticipated recovery, we are all wishing Clive better.
