About Us

The Monster Company was founded in 2003, however the original inspiration and passion for the business came after watching a plethora of movies from childhood. The fascination with Monsters started in the late seventies and eighties with movies such as; Blade Runner, John Carpenters Halloween, The Thing, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser, Terminator 2, The Star Wars Trilogy, Dune, Superman, Legend, Jaws, The Dark Crystal, Jim Henson’s Labyrinth, The Muppet Movies, Roald Dahl’s Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, re runs of old Hammer Horror and Universal Movies. The passion continues through films such as Iron Man 2, J.J. Abrams Star Trek, Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince, Rob Zombie’s Devils Rejects, Peter Jackson’s King Kong, Coraline, Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds, Chuck, Lost, Heroes, Dexter etc. We sold childhood Star Wars collections and worked for the infamous company Creatures Unlimited for a while learning all about the Monster Business. The excitement and enthusiasm (which is still evident today) of the big screen and T.V. as well as its complementary proprietary and collectable merchandise motivated us in so many ways to found the business ‘The Monster Company’ in 2003 and then ‘The Monster Store’ in 2009 (www.themonsterstore.co.uk). We have been dealing with film related collectibles for over 20 years and have built up (and continue to build) the business along with a wealth of knowledge and industry contacts, beneficial to both collectors and dealers alike.

Our company philosophy is to provide high quality exciting and hard to find collectables to fans of movies, T.V. and games. We are ever growing in understanding of the market supplying items of memorabilia, driving the business vehicle forward through innovative and efficient practices, bringing knowledge and resources back into the industry and community to create new opportunities. Our advertisements appear in Horror Hound, Empire and Sci Fi Now magazines, there are also products appearing in a Monster Company Store on eBay. The Monster Company news section (on this website) is informative of exciting new current projects and events with associated guest star friends, film making, what’s on at The Monster Store and autograph signings. A more social view of friends and events is available by joining our facebook at (www.facebook.com/themonstercompany).
