The incredible item being viewed is a Master Replicas Kermit the Frog from The Muppet Show.

This is a large Kermit, full-size prop (24” / 61cms tall), photo puppet replica in a beautiful full colour art box, with display stand, certificate of authenticity, a numbered plaque.

This piece was a very limited edition of just 2,500 pieces worldwide which were released back in 2006 (this is a 19-year-old collectable)!

The Kermit imaged is mint in his original box (never been taken out), and has very, very minor faults to the full colour art box, most of which we have tried to highlight through the photos. There is slight fading on the lip of the top left inner box (measuring 32cms by 1cm on the top, and 55cms by 1cm on the top left facing lip).

In truth, Kermit was not always a Frog. Fashioned from a coat belonging to Jim Henson's mother and two halves of a Ping Pong ball for his eyes, Kermit was originally more Lizard than Frog.

Over the years he became more "Frogified" according to Jim Henson.

Kermit is a classic Muppet, a puppet with hand and rod operation, one of the simplest kind of puppets.

This simplicity made him so expressive and an endearing extension of Jim Henson's personality.

For still photo shoots, puppets like Kermit the Frog were built without hand openings and with wire armatures that allowed him to be poseable.

During his seventy-year career (beginning with a 1955 debuting in the show "Sam and Friends") Kermit has posed for thousands of still photo shoots.

This is the first ever authentic Kermit Photo Puppet Replica, created using the original patterns and similar materials (to include green fleece).

This item is fully poseable with mouth expression, articulated neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and fingers.
